Black and dark circles treatment
The treatment of black, blue and colored dark circles has long posed a problem for aestheticians, since the treatments offered (laser, depigmenting peels) did not produce entirely satisfactory results.Today, nano-lipofilling, a recent technique derived from lipofilling, is effective regardless of the color of the dark circles.

What are dark circles?
The skin around the eyes is colored: dark, brown, purplish or even reddish, accentuating the tired, aged appearance. The transparent effect is due to the extreme thinness of the eyelid membrane, which makes the underlying blood vessels visible.Black, dark or brown circles are thought to be due to localized hyperpigmentation of the skin, which is more common in certain populations (North Africans, Indians, etc.). However, the effectiveness of nano-lipofilling suggests that, here too, the mechanism involved is skin transparency.
Lipofilling to treat dark circles
Nano-lipofilling, also known as “nano fat grafting”, is a technique derived from lipofilling. Rinsed, cleaned and defibrosed, the fat is then passed through several sieves to extract a fraction rich in stem cells and growth factors conducive to skin tissue regeneration. The resulting compound is injected into the area to be treated: within a few weeks, the coating thickens the dermis and creates a layer between the thin skin of the eyelids and the capillaries beneath. The transparent effect disappears and the color of the dark circles fades significantly. This is the only effective technique for treating colored or pigmented circles. In addition, micro-lipofilling is performed if dark circles are also deepened.Beyond the treatment of dark and tinted circles, nano-lipofilling opens the way to a new aesthetic medicine through its regenerative effects.
Course of treatment for dark and tinted circles with Dr Hayot
An initial consultation allows Dr Hayot to verify the indications and examine the patient’s dark circles. Based on the diagnosis,
your practitioner draws up a treatment plan for your lipofilling in Paris, Neuilly-sur-Seine or Versailles. There are a number of recommendations to follow before the procedure:
- Obtain prescribed medication (such as dry eye drops) in advance.
- Stop taking anticoagulants and anti-inflammatory drugs.
- Make an appointment with the anaesthetist at least 48 hours before the operation. Blood tests will be requested.
- Fasting 8 hours before the procedure.
Treatment results for dark and tinted circles
Results appear gradually, over several weeks. They become definitive after a few months. Dark circles become less visible until they fade completely. A clear improvement in eyelid skin quality can also be observed. The after-effects of the procedure are slight. A few bruises may appear, but will fade within a few days. Icy compresses can be applied to accelerate bruise reduction. A 5- to 7-day social ban is necessary.
Side effects of treatment for dark and coloured circles
They are rare or absent. However, it is essential to use a practitioner with dual expertise in nano-lipofilling and cosmetic eyelid surgery. It is also important that the medical team is trained in the fat processing procedure, which has a major influence on the success of the injection. In addition, Dr Hayot trains colleagues in nano-lipofilling, a technique that is still not widely used in France.
Prices for the treatment of dark and tinted circles
The cost of the procedure depends on the indications and needs of each patient. A personalized estimate will be provided at the end of the first consultation. This estimate takes into account the fees of Dr. Hayot, the anesthetist and hospital staff, as well as the cost of equipment and clinic fees.
