Aesthetic medicine

Injections of Botox or hyaluronic acid, or the insertion of tensor threads, can give you a “youthful glow” with one undeniable advantage: they are light procedures, carried out in the doctor’s office, and you can resume your activities the same day.

They can also complement surgery when an intervention is preferable to achieve true rejuvenation.

Unlike a non-surgical practitioner, who can only perform cosmetic medical procedures, a surgeon will be able to determine what is best suited to your specific needs: light procedures if he or she believes the result will be harmonious, surgery (blepharoplasty, facelift, lipofilling) when cosmetic medicine has reached its limit.

Aesthetic medicine treatments

There are many aesthetic medical treatments to combat tired, sad and severe eyes.

The different areas of intervention in aesthetic medicine

What is aesthetic medicine?

The term aesthetic medicine encompasses a whole range of medical procedures aimed at improving a person’s physical appearance. These techniques are non-surgical, and can be used to treat a wide range of imperfections, such as wrinkles, cellulite or pigmentation spots.

What are the indications for aesthetic medicine?

The indications for aesthetic medicine are vast. The techniques currently in use can treat a wide range of imperfections, most of which are age-related:
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Sagging skin on the face and body
  • Stretch marks
  • Pigmentation spots (brown spots, lentigos)
  • Scars
  • Body and facial hair removal (permanent hair removal)

When should you have cosmetic medicine?

Aesthetic medicine is aimed at men and women of all ages who wish to improve their appearance without the need for surgery. Anti-ageing treatments can be started quite early, as the first signs of skin ageing appear as early as the age of 30.Compared to cosmetic surgery, aesthetic medicine has the advantage of being non-invasive and often reversible. It’s a good compromise for patients who are reluctant to take the plunge into surgery. It can also be used as a complement to surgery.

What do I need to know before undergoing cosmetic medical procedures?

Aesthetic medical procedures are valued for their safety. In fact, all the technologies used are approved by health authorities, and only doctors specifically trained in these techniques are authorized to use them.To check for any contraindications and ensure that the patient’s request is reasonable, Dr. Hayot always organizes an initial consultation before the treatment is launched. During this consultation, patients also receive a detailed estimate, as prices for aesthetic medical procedures can vary depending on the area treated.

Dr Hayot performs a wide range of aesthetic medical procedures.
Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is a molecule naturally present in our skin, guaranteeing hydration, elasticity and tone.Hyaluronic acid has a volumizing effect that compensates for the loss of relief associated with aging. By re-establishing a harmonious contour, it smoothes out wrinkles and folds caused by fat loss, restoring fullness to the face.Hyaluronic acid also has the advantage of being very well tolerated, and naturally resorbed by the body.Dr Hayot uses several types of hyaluronic acid adapted to each area treated: temples, cheekbones, mouth, mouth contour, nasolabial fold…

Botox
Botox injections help reduce expression lines and mobility wrinkles: crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, but also chin and neck wrinkles. To avoid paralyzing the forehead and giving the frozen look seen in many botox patients, Dr. Hayot uses a special technique known as micro- or derma-botox. He injects into the superficial layers of the forehead skin without touching the muscle: the product works only on the superficial muscle fibers, and the result is much more natural. At rest, wrinkles are invisible, but when the face is animated, the forehead remains mobile and expression is preserved.

Belkyra Kybella
This product effectively treats double chins. Belkyra contains a bile acid naturally present in the body which has the property of destroying fat cells and causing a slight retraction of the skin due to the inflammatory reaction. This is an alternative to liposuction, but the injection is performed in the doctor’s office and does not require anesthesia. The result is definitive.

Tensor threads
Tensor threads are an effective way of combating aging skin on the face and neck. Thanks to a dual mechanical and biological action, the threads visibly tighten the skin in the treated area, and are naturally broken down by the body after 18 months. This is a light technique, generally reserved for patients aged 30 to 45 (moderate skin slackening).

Ulthera
Ulthera treatment (or Ultherapy) is a cutting-edge technology that uses ultrasound to stimulate collagen production in the dermis. The result is firmer, more elastic skin on the face, neck and décolleté.

Laser treatment
The FRAXEL fractional laser, the latest generation of rejuvenation laser, improves skin quality, smoothing out wrinkles and the crumpled appearance of the lower eyelid through its tensor effect. It stimulates the fibroblast cells that produce collagen and elastin, which decline with age. Its advantage: very light after-effects, with no loss of social contact. Several sessions, spaced a few weeks apart, are required to obtain a convincing result.
