A face ages, melts and loses its volume over the years. As the skin slackens and muscles contract, wrinkles appear all over the face and neck.

The majority of wrinkles in the upper third of the face (forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet) are reduced thanks to the neutralizing action of botulinum toxin.

Forehead wrinkles

Forehead wrinkles are generally caused by hyperaction of the forehead muscle, creating unattractive horizontal and vertical marks. But expression lines, even very old and marked ones, are not resistant to botulinum toxin: the treated area becomes smooth and flat again, like a baby’s skin.

The challenge for the aesthetic physician is to calm the hyper-action of the forehead muscle to erase wrinkles without paralyzing the forehead or freezing the patient’s facial expression.

Sometimes, after several years of botulinum toxin treatment in this area, vertical wrinkles known as “sleep wrinkles” may appear. These can be treated with hyaluronic acid injections to fill the skin break.

Lion's Ride

The lion’s wrinkle is caused by the action of the very powerful forehead muscles, regularly solicited by frowning. They give a stern, worried look.

Crow's feet wrinkles

Crow’s feet wrinkles are caused by the action of the orbicularis muscle, which contracts to form striae at the corner of the eye.When performed subtly, botulinum toxin injections are a highly effective remedy for the treatment of these wrinkles. The aim is not to freeze the smile, and to avoid disharmony with the untreated lower eyelid, which will appear more wrinkled. Moreover, Botox injections in this area can provoke or aggravate an existing malar pocket. It is not a pocket of fat, but a ptosis of the orbicularis muscle.The solutions for treating malar pockets are hyaluronic acid and cortisone. Botox
Botox injections help reduce expression lines and mobility wrinkles: crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, but also chin and neck wrinkles. To avoid paralyzing the forehead and giving the frozen look seen in many botox patients, Dr. Hayot uses a special technique known as micro- or derma-botox. He injects into the superficial layers of the forehead skin without touching the muscle: the product works only on the superficial muscle fibers, and the result is much more natural. At rest, wrinkles are invisible, but when the face is animated, the forehead remains mobile and expression is preserved.

This product effectively treats double chins. Belkyra contains a bile acid naturally present in the body which has the property of destroying fat cells and causing a slight retraction of the skin due to the inflammatory reaction.
