SKINBOOSTER COMPOSITION: HYALURONIC ACID
“When my patients ask me whether it’s better to do a Restylane Skinbooster session or continue with hyaluronic acid injections, I tell them that it’s not the method that’s important, but each patient’s indication,” Dr Hayot tells us. Indeed, on closer inspection, it would appear that Skinbooster is in fact mainly composed of hyaluronic acid, so what’s the difference and, above all, which technique should be preferred?
The different types of hyaluronic acid
The first element of the answer is the type of hyaluronic acid used… In fact, there are several types. Some are highly cross-linked, i.e. very dense, and are ideal for volumizing the skin to create a fuller mouth or prominent cheekbones, for example. Others are less cross-linked, such as Surgiderm 30 XP, which can be used to erase wrinkles on the face, décolleté and neck by injecting small quantities of product.
Skinbooster is a finely micronized hyaluronic acid, i.e. made up of micro-particles (100 to 500 µm) that enhance the product’s reactivity and effect.
Indications for hyaluronic acid injections
The second element of the answer is the indication and the result sought by the patient.
Classic HA injections fill in wrinkles or restore volumes that have disappeared over time by injecting the product deep into the bone.
Skinbooster, on the other hand, revitalizes the skin deep down to give it radiance and luminosity. Injected into the middle dermis, the product tones the skin. As a result, wrinkles and fine lines are reduced all over the face!
INDICATIONS AND EFFECTS OF SKINBOOSTER
Whether the skin is mature or much younger, the results are highly satisfactory. Several products in the range address different indications depending on the patient’s age.
The Skinbooster Vital Light range for subjects aged between 30 and 45 helps to delay the appearance of wrinkles and slow skin slackening. The Skinbooster Vital range for patients over 45 fills in wrinkles and fine lines, and stimulates dehydrated, wrinkled skin.
Dr Hayot explains, “This new anti-aging technique combines the effects of hyaluronic acid injections and mesolift. It fills in wrinkles and revitalizes wrinkled skin. So many good reasons to let yourself be tempted…”
SKINBOOSTER BENEFITS AND RESULTS
Thanks to the hyaluronic acid it contains, the product captures the water present in the dermis and maintains a good level of tissue hydration to prevent skin breakage. This “water redistribution” improves skin elasticity and suppleness. What’s more, the use of micro-injections as a topping helps boost the production of natural collagen.
So many benefits that you’ll want to try out this new anti-aging protocol. However, Dr Hayot warns: “These microinjections of hyaluronic acid offer satisfactory results as part of a complete skin care protocol”. We recommend 2 to 4 Skinbooster sessions, at regular one-month intervals, followed by a maintenance session twice a year.
Results are visible within 24 hours of the session and last an average of 4 to 8 months, depending on the individual.
