Botox® action against perspiration
Contrary to popular belief, Botox® isn’t just for treating wrinkles– it’s also the most effective treatment for hyperhydrosis! Performed in the form of micro-injections, it treats perspiration on the underarms, hands, feet and face.
Botox® is essentially composed of botulinum toxin. Botulinum toxin acts by paralyzing muscles. Here, it acts on the sweating phenomenon by directly blocking the nervous information that normally stimulates the glands that produce perspiration.
Results are felt within two days of the session, and are optimal within a month: no need for antiperspirant!
However, several sessions are required to achieve lasting results. Botulinum toxin injections are effective for varying lengths of time, from 4 to 18 months, and the effectiveness of this treatment, while proven (96% positive results), varies from patient to patient.

Botox® injection sessions in Paris
Treatment of hyperydrosis with botulinum toxin is quick and painless, lasting just ten minutes!
After pinpointing the areas of greatest perspiration with an iodine solution (starch is used as a developer, coloring the areas of greatest perspiration blue), the aesthetic physician will perform a dozen or so botulinum toxin injections.
These are performed with a fine needle (making the procedure relatively painless), directly on the sweat glands.
For injections into the hands and feet, a local anesthetic is applied, as injections can sometimes be painful in these sensitive areas, where the skin is very thin.
Please note: this aesthetic medicine treatment is not covered by Social Security.
Botox® prices in Paris
These prices are indicative and vary according to the size of the area and the indications of each patient. The more excessive the patient’s perspiration, the greater the need to inject botulinum toxin into the sweat glands.
