Dr Hayot for GALA

Hyaluronic acid, a product that “never quite goes away”.

In recent years, hyaluronic acid has become very popular in the world of aesthetic medicine. This sugar derivative is responsible for hydrating the skin, and its volumizing properties are popular for correcting lack of volume on certain parts of the face. However, according to Dr Hayot, deep injections of hyaluronic acid leave unnatural marks on the face. Taking cheekbones as an example, he claims that the product “makes cheeks look like apples”.

To restore harmonious volume to the face, the latter recommends injections of autologous fat by lipofilling, which offer a natural result with no risk of rejection or allergy. In fact, the fat injected into the part of the face lacking volume is the patient’s own, previously removed from another part of the body.

Minilift for a subtly younger face

Dr Hayot is categorical about the unnatural results offered by certain medical and cosmetic surgery techniques, which freeze the face and smooth out all its wrinkles: “from a certain age, a smooth forehead is nonsense”. For this reason, this expert in cosmetic surgery recommends the minilift, which is gentler than a conventional facelift and maintains the patient’s own facial features. Sagging cheeks, jowls and blurred facial contours are just some of the signs of skin ageing corrected by minilift.

Blepharoplasty

For an overall rejuvenation of the face, minilift can be combined with blepharoplasty which, by ridding the eyelids of the excess skin that is a sign of skin ageing, opens up the eyes and restores a spark of youthfulness.

With the arrival of summer, Dr Hayot reminds us that the secret to beautiful skin is to avoid the sun.

Finally, the Parisian doctor concludes his speech for Gala on these beautiful notes: “Growing old is wonderful!
