No-complex anti-wrinkle injections
The 2010s have seen the democratization of aesthetic medicine, and there is even talk of the “uberization” of botox injections in some capitals, particularly Paris, where purchasing power allows men and women to invest a large part of their annual budget in anti-ageing treatments.
In the world of show business, countless celebrities openly admit to having botox injections in the forehead and at the corners of the eyes to look younger and less wrinkled. They include Cindy Crawford and Sharon Stone, of course, but also much younger celebrities such as Kim Kardashian!
At what age should I start Botox injections?
Several well-known French doctors agree that botox injections can significantly delay facial ageing. Cindy Crawford is an excellent example: her doctor says that she started at the age of 26, is now approaching 50, and still looks radiant.
Another treatment that has become popular in recent years is hyaluronic acid lip injections. A volumizing effect, for smooth lips and a beautiful glossy effect. Dr Bernard Hayot explains: “For fuller, plumper lips, I inject a cross-linked, hydrophilic hyaluronic acid, such as Voluma or Volbella from Allergan Laboratories. These injectable products contain a dose of Lidocaine that makes volumizing injections into the lips much more comfortable and less painful.”
Where to get botox injections: In France, in Paris?
France and French aesthetic physicians have always enjoyed an excellent reputation for injectable products and innovative anti-ageing treatments. The Botox andhyaluronic acid used in Paris are reputed to be of the highest quality, and the technical skills of French aesthetic physicians are recognized as among the best in the world. These facial rejuvenation methods attract many celebrities to the French capital.
The French Touch stands for French elegance and, by extension, for a lighter hand, giving less coarse results and less drawn features. “My patients’ faces are never over-injected, because I have always advocated natural results,” says Dr Hayot. “Today, more and more of my colleagues use botox injections to achieve rejuvenation without paralysing expression, but unfortunately others are still too heavy-handed.
While the effect of Botox injections disappears quickly (6 to 8 months), over-injected lips are much more problematic, as the volumizing hyaluronic acid can last over 18 months. However, an over-injected mouth can eventually be corrected with an antidote.
Aesthetic centers in Paris may enjoy a reputation for quality, but prices for aesthetic medical procedures are generally higher there than outside the capital. Some practices nonetheless offer very reasonable rates for the quality of their services.

Performed in the practice or in an aesthetic medicine centre, thread lifting takes just 1 to 1.5 hours, with no social downtime. The new favourite of the stars, threads can tighten the skin, restore tension to the skin structures and lift sagging features. Dr Bernard Hayot, an oculoplastic surgeon, describes tensor threads as “reliable, effective, gentle and non-traumatizing”.
Completely reversible, this aesthetic medical procedure prevents, or at least delays, the need for a true cervicofacial lift. The results are generally much appreciated by patients looking for a natural look that does not betray their use of aesthetic medicine.
