Pinch blepharoplasty

Precise surgery for rejuvenated eyes

Pinch blepharoplasty, performed by Dr Hayot in Paris, is a modern cosmetic surgical method that specifically targets the lower eyelids. Ideal for treating skin laxity, wrinkles or excess skin. This procedure offers natural results without altering the expression of the eyes.

Unlike conventional methods, this approach preserves the surrounding tissues, thereby minimising the risk of complications. The principle is simple but precise: the excess skin is delicately removed by a pinching gesture, carried out at the level of the lashes to ensure a perfectly concealed scar.

Thanks to his expertise, Dr Hayot adapts each procedure to the individual needs of his patients, taking care to maintain the natural harmony of the face.

What is pinch blepharoplasty?

Pinch blepharoplasty is a cosmetic surgical technique specifically designed to correct the lower eyelids. It aims to remove excess skin without lifting the skin tissues, thereby considerably reducing the risk of complications.

Performed by Dr Hayot, an expert in eyelid surgery in Paris, this procedure offers a precise and safe way to treat wrinkles, skin laxity and dark circles, while preserving the natural expression of the eyes. The scar, located just at the level of the lashes, is discreet and almost concealed, its visibility depending on healing, ensuring a harmonious result.

Why choose pinch blepharoplasty to rejuvenate your eyes?

Pinch blepharoplasty is a cosmetic surgical technique that focuses on treating the excess skin of the lower eyelids, without touching the muscular structures or the deep tissues. Performed by Dr Hayot, a recognised expert in Paris, this procedure aims to enhance your eyes while offering natural and harmonious facial rejuvenation. Discover the three main benefits of this innovative approach:

Removing excess skin gently

With age, skin laxity can lead to a surplus of skin at the level of the lower eyelids, giving the face a tired appearance. Pinch blepharoplasty makes it possible to remove this excess precisely without affecting the muscles or the surrounding tissues. The result is younger, brighter eyes, without altering the natural expression.

Minimising scars for a discreet result

Thanks to a meticulous technique, the scar is discreetly placed beneath the lashes, becoming almost concealed once healed. This approach considerably shortens the postoperative course, offering patients a quick recovery and subtle aesthetic results.

Preserving the natural structure of the eyelids

Unlike other procedures, pinch blepharoplasty focuses exclusively on the skin, avoiding any risk of altering the deep tissues or the orbicularis muscle. This targeted treatment ensures a rejuvenating effect while preserving the natural harmony of the lower eyelids.

After the procedure, the postoperative course is mild, with possible swelling and bruising that disappear within a few days. The scars, delicately concealed beneath the lashes, quickly become concealed, whose visibility depends on healing, ensuring a harmonious result. This technique is particularly suited to patients wishing to correct skin laxity or wrinkles without altering the natural appearance of their eyes and of their face.

Thanks to Dr Hayot’s expertise, each patient benefits from a personalised treatment, with a bespoke approach that takes into account the specific features of their eyelids and their expectations. The final result provides a rejuvenating effect, restoring all the freshness and brightness of the eyes while respecting the natural balance of the features.

How a pinch blepharoplasty proceeds with Dr Hayot

Pinch blepharoplasty is a cosmetic surgical procedure that is particularly suited to treating the lower eyelids and rejuvenating the eyes. Performed by Dr Hayot, this procedure aims to correct excess skin while ensuring a subtle and natural result. A personalised consultation always precedes the procedure, making it possible to analyse the needs of each patient.

Advice before the procedure

Before undergoing a pinch blepharoplasty, it is essential to follow a few recommendations in order to optimise the result. Dr Hayot advises avoiding the consumption of alcohol and tobacco for at least one month before the procedure. These substances can slow down healing and increase the risk of complications.

Furthermore, certain medicines, such as anticoagulants or anti-inflammatory drugs, will have to be suspended temporarily, as they may increase the risk of bleeding. These precautions help to ensure a quick recovery without complications.

How the procedure proceeds

Performed under local anaesthesia, pinch blepharoplasty is a light and precise procedure. The surgeon makes a small incision beneath the lashes, removing only the excess skin without touching the surrounding tissues such as the muscle or the fat. The procedure, which lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, takes place on an outpatient basis, allowing the patient to return home the same day.

After the procedure, the postoperative course is generally mild. Swelling and small bruises may appear, but they resolve in about 10 days. In order to minimise these effects, Dr Hayot recommends the use of cold compresses on the treated areas, as well as the application of eye drops to prevent ocular dryness.

It is also advisable to protect the eyelids from the sun during the first few weeks in order to avoid any pigmentation of the skin.

The results are quickly visible: the eyes look fresher and rejuvenated. The lower eyelids regain their firmness and the overall appearance of the face is visibly improved. If this light and effective approach is of interest to you, a consultation with Dr Hayot will make it possible to determine the solution suited to your needs.

What is pinch blepharoplasty and who is it for?

Pinch blepharoplasty is a specialised cosmetic surgical procedure that makes it possible to treat the excess skin of the lower eyelids without touching the deep structures such as the fat pads or the orbicularis muscle.

This procedure is ideal for people wishing to improve the appearance of eyes that are tired or marked by dark circles, while preserving a natural appearance. Recommended for patients with drooping eyelids or mild to moderate laxity, it offers an effective solution for rejuvenating the face.

How does the consultation before a pinch blepharoplasty proceed?

During the consultation, Dr Hayot, an expert in eyelid surgery, carries out a detailed analysis of your face and of your eyelids. This step is essential in order to assess the degree of skin laxity of the eyelid, the possible presence of bags under the eyes and the quality of your skin.

The surgeon will also take into account your age and your expectations in order to propose a personalised treatment. This consultation is the occasion to ask all your questions about the procedure and to obtain precise information about the fees and the postoperative course.

Does the procedure require general anaesthesia?

No, pinch blepharoplasty is generally performed under local anaesthesia, which ensures optimal comfort during the procedure. The surgeon makes small, discreet incisions just beneath the lashes in order to remove the excess skin, without touching the deep tissues such as the fat or the muscles. This approach reduces the risks and allows a quicker recovery.

Does pinch blepharoplasty leave visible scars?

No, one of the main advantages of pinch blepharoplasty is that the scars are extremely discreet. The incisions are made in strategic areas, just beneath the lower lash line, and are practically invisible once healed. Thanks to his expertise in cosmetic surgery, Dr Hayot ensures a natural and harmonious result.

What are the fees for a pinch blepharoplasty?

The fees for a pinch blepharoplasty vary according to the complexity of the procedure and the specific needs of each patient. During your consultation, Dr Hayot will provide you with a detailed quotation of the various fees, including the costs of the procedure, the anaesthesia, and the pre- and postoperative consultations.

What are the different types of blepharoplasty available and which problems do they treat?

Blepharoplasty encompasses several types of surgical procedures suited to the different problems of the eyelids and of the eyes.

Upper blepharoplasty targets the excess skin at the level of the upper eyelids, which is often responsible for a heavy and tired appearance of the face.

Lower blepharoplasty, for its part, corrects bags under the eyes and dark circles, generally caused by laxity of the skin at the level of the eyelid or by an accumulation of fat.

Addition blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure for patients wishing to improve the appearance of their eyelids while preserving a natural and harmonious result. Thanks to a precise technique based on lipofilling, it makes it possible to restore lost volumes and to soften the signs of ageing at the level of the upper and lower eyelids.

Finally, lipofilling, often combined with these techniques, makes it possible to restore lost volume and to obtain a natural and harmonious lift of the eyes. Each procedure is adapted to the specific needs of each patient and to the age of the skin.

What the studies say

A few figures published in peer-reviewed journals, chosen to give orders of magnitude. They do not describe your case: only the consultation does.

  1. In a retrospective series of 278 patients of mean age 67 years operated on with an upper blepharoplasty (533 eyelids, mean follow-up 8 months, associated brow lift in one third of cases), the rate of surgical revision was 3.8% in the absence of an associated ptosis correction and 9.2% when a ptosis correction was associated. New ocular dryness persisting for three months or more was observed in 0.8% of cases, and it resolved in all the patients concerned.

  2. Laxity of the upper eyelids is common with age: in a population cohort of 5,578 adults (mean age 67 years), 17.8% presented with moderate or severe dermatochalasis. Besides age, this study finds male sex, a high body mass index and a fair complexion among the associated factors.
