Women between 40 and 50

For women between the ages of 40 and 50, the whole eye area begins to age as one, and needs to be treated as a whole. Most often, this involves surgery to rejuvenate the entire upper third of the face.

The aim is to correct drooping eyelids(often associated with a drooping eyebrow tail), hollow dark circles and under-eye bags.

Your eyelids are drooping

Dr Hayot has been performing blepharoplasty for many years, the solution of choice forsagging eyes. Difficulty applying eye make-up is often the reason for the consultation. The upper eyelid, which is beginning to show a slight excess of skin along with a loss of volume, is treated with addition upper blepharoplasty techniques.

Fat injections can also be used to reduce volume loss at the temples and lift the tail of the eyebrow: this is called temple lipostructure. Sagging skin on the lower eyelid is treated with pinch blepharoplasty.

You have dark circles

Hollow circles are often found in younger patients, but ageing skin further accentuates the hollowing of the eyes.

Hyaluronic acid is not indicated for hollow circles. Lipostructure is a solution suited to certain indications for a fresh, rested look. To treat volume loss in the temples and cheekbones,fat injections are indicated: lipostructure of the dark circles, the malar area and the cheekbones is performed in the same operation.

You have under-eye bags

Between the ages of 40 and 50, pads of fat under the eyes are often prominent and may need to be removed: this is done by transconjunctival laser ablation.

This is associated with hollow circles and a loss of volume in the malar and cheekbone areas, which are restored by lipostructure of the dark circles, performed by Dr Hayot during the same operation.
