What is facial lipofilling?
Volumising lipofilling is an aesthetic medicine technique designed to restore volume by adding autologous fat. It is particularly effective for treating dark circles, temples, cheekbones and cheeks. The result is natural and lasting, unlike filler injections.
Nano-lipofilling, on the other hand, regenerates the dermis to improve skin quality. The result is a more radiant face and an improved skin texture. The technique involves injecting stem cells and growth factors from autologous fat, taken from the patient.
What is comprehensive facial care?
Volumising lipofilling is often performed as part of an overall rejuvenation of the face and neck. It is then combined with other techniques such as a face and neck lift or eyelid blepharoplasty. The aim here is not to treat a particular wrinkle or volume in isolation, but to restore overall volume and to treat minor imperfections across the face and neck.
Eyelid blepharoplasty, a complementary operation to facial lipofilling?
One of the procedures that can be combined with lipofilling is blepharoplasty. It can be considered from the age of 35 or 40. This eyelid surgery rejuvenates the eyes, one of the first areas of the face where the signs of ageing show. Blepharoplasty treats the whole eye area and is effective on drooping upper eyelids, hollow or coloured dark circles, puffiness, glabellar lines, crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles, and on sagging lower eyelids or eyebrow tails.
Several methods are available for blepharoplasty. The ideal eyelid surgery to meet patients’ needs for overall facial rejuvenation is addition blepharoplasty. Unlike traditional eyelid surgery, the origin of the problem is treated here by injecting fat into the area affected by fat loss. In addition, only a reasonable amount of excess skin is removed, in proportion to its actual effect on eyelid sagging.
Nano lipofilling of the eyes is indicated for the treatment of dark circles.
Transconjunctival blepharoplasty removes puffiness to complete the rejuvenation of the eyes.
Finally, pinch blepharoplasty is an operation on the lower eyelids that treats wrinkles and creases without detaching the subcutaneous tissues.
Is eyelid lift treatment a complementary operation to facial lipofilling?
To treat the eyes without surgery, focused ultrasound can be used as part of a medical eye lift. Also known as Ultherapy, this method is indicated for rejuvenating the eyes and lifting drooping eyelids or eyebrows. The treatment is also effective on sagging skin and loss of firmness in the contours of the face.
When can another operation be complementary to facial lipofilling?
Several procedures can be considered in addition to facial lipofilling, such as eyelid surgery or a facelift. This may be the case, for example, for:
- Overall rejuvenation of the face and neck;
- Restoration of volume loss in the case of significant weight loss;
- An improvement in facial harmony where the nose or the nasolabial folds also need to be treated (rhinoplasty, for example);
- Or to optimise the results of a medical or surgical face and neck lift.
